Temple Station deputies wear many hats, and some of our Temple Station deputies are also proud members of the Sheriff Response Team (SRT). These highly trained deputies are deployed throughout Los Angeles County for large-scale events and incidents, including protests, civil unrest, major sporting events like the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the West Hollywood Pride Parade, and other large gatherings requiring specialized crowd management and public safety response. SRT deputies are trained to handle challenging situations involving large crowds while keeping both the public and fellow deputies safe. Around the county, they may be best known for deployments involving the “yellow slinky,” but their mission always remains focused on maintaining order, protecting the community, and responding whenever needed.
