A lot of people think animals only end up in the slaughter pipeline if they’re abused, broken, neglected or severely injured. But that’s not always the case. Sometimes they’re healthy animals whose owners fell on hard times. Sometimes they’re animals that are no longer able to serve the purpose they once did. Sometimes they’ve simply been replaced.
