LIONS DUOS ADVANCE ON OPENING DAY OF CIF-SS INDIVIDUALS: It was a victorious opening day of competition for the jserra.boys_tennis doubles teams of senior HB Warner & junior Kayden Kral and seniors Cade and Connor Faul at Thursday’s Sectionals of the CIF-SS Individual Tennis Championships at Andulka Park Tennis Center in Riverside. Both teams began the day with a first-round bye into the second round. Warner and Kral then defeated Riverside Poly’s Matthew Grigsby and Jonathan Brusca (6-2, 6-0) before knocking off Great Oak’s Vrishik Pallaka and Liam Bellewag (6-2, 6-3). Faul and Faul took to the court and beat Heritage’s Joseph Rodriguez and Trevor Adams (6-2, 6-0) before posting a triumph over Santiago’s Evan Dang and Andy Mingyang (6-3, 6-2). Both teams will now head into the Round of 32, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont. #lionnation #jserraboystennis #jserraathletics
