🎵Here I go again on my own, going down the only road I’ve ever known 🎵 We’re another day closer to #CadetSummerTraining! During #CST2026, cadets undergo training in land navigation to develop and assess their basic dismounted navigation skills. Cadets need to be able to move safely and accurately over unfamiliar terrain using only a map, compass, and their own skills – without relying on any electronic aids. Cadets demonstrate their skills during both day ☀️and night🌙 conditions in varied terrain. During CST, cadets are also taught advanced land navigation skills and other tasks like mounted land navigation, range estimation, terrain analysis, and call for fire. Land navigation is a core Soldier competency that builds confidence, situational awareness, and independence. CST will be here before you know it!
