Julie made history as SUU Gymnastics’ first Level 10 athlete, setting a standard of excellence from the start. She earned Most Outstanding Gymnast honors in 1996, was named Female Athlete of the Year in 1997, and graduated summa cum laude. Her legacy includes the program’s first 9.9 on uneven bars—a record that stood for 13 years—and she remains the only two-time GTE Academic All-American in program history. Julie also became the first SUU all-arounder to qualify for regionals in four consecutive seasons. She went on to serve as an assistant coach from 1998–1999 and was inducted into the SUU Hall of Fame in 2017. Now pursuing her master’s degree in Special Education at Utah State University, Julie is passionate about lifelong learning, building meaningful systems of support, and contributing to communities that help people grow.  Join Julie in giving back through TAC and support SUU Gymnastics as they prepare to soar in the Pac-12 next season.
