Eight years ago, BuzzFeed reached out to our team at Corbin Visual. They were looking for a Canadian production services partner to support branded content executions. 🇨🇦
Our first project? A comedic piece about cats, “adulting,” and the quiet chaos of being a young person trying to hold life together. It was technically an ad for cat food, but it perfectly captured what fascinated us about BuzzFeed from the beginning:
They understood that people don’t share products. They share identity, feelings, and community. 🫂
Over nearly a decade, we worked alongside BuzzFeed as they evolved from quizzes and viral skits into premium lifestyle content, unscripted conversations, branded entertainment, and eventually feature films.
The internet changes constantly, but BuzzFeed has always seemed to understand something fundamental:
Platforms change behaviour by rewarding certain formats, but the formats that actually last are the ones rooted in timeless human instincts 🤝🫶
