Community members, veterans and military families gathered in mist and rain Nov. 29 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery for the annual wreath-laying ceremony honoring the service and sacrifice of U.S. Armed Forces veterans and family members. The annual observance drew thousands of attendees from across Central Texas, including active-duty Soldiers from Fort Hood, veterans’ organizations, local leaders and Gold Star Families.
