Renovations are well underway at Washington Square. Mall owner Macerich announced in February its plans to upgrade the suburban Portland shopping center — an ambitious refresh that includes food court and other interior renovations, along with the introduction of several new and expanded retailers. Demolition has already begun at the mall’s former Sears, making way for a massive Dick’s House of Sport slated to open in fall 2027.
