The World Football Day celebration at the United Nations Headquarters in 🇺🇸 New York showed us how football unites us all, and I took this opportunity to deliver a simple message of hope and happiness. ⚽❤️ Children and adults alike felt the joy of our beautiful game, and I concur with all representatives and delegates who spoke about the beautiful game’s role in promoting peace, dialogue and diplomacy. 🤝 Our beautiful game is a school of life, and it also provides tangible opportunities for children across countries and continents to fulfil their dreams. This is made possible by events such as the 🇨🇦🇲🇽🇺🇸 FIFA World Cup 2026, which not only unites the world but also helps FIFA financially support its 211 Member Associations in realising their football ambitions. Thank you very much to the unitednations and all delegates present today. A special shoutout to all the children - you motivate all of us to work for a better tomorrow. 🤗 #WorldFootballDay #FootballUnitesTheWorld
