The moment we saw this image of the tomstuartsmith 2010 gold medal winning garden at Chelsea Flower show we knew it was the feel we wanted for our pool. THE FEEL We originally wanted a natural swimming pool, but because we’re in a flood plain and the only bit of land high enough was fairly narrow, we didn’t have the right space for one, which we were incredibly disappointed about. But Tom’s garden brought back all of our hope, because suddenly we could see how it might be possible to create a normal pool, but with more of the feel of a natural pool. THE COLOUR OF THE WATER Shortly afterwards, we went to stay with friends for the weekend in a beautiful house in the south of France, which had this gorgeous pool in the garden. We absolutely fell in love with the long slim shape and the stunning pale green colour of the water.
