With summer right around the corner, there’s plenty of new music on the way. Here’s my favorite albums of the year so far before we get there (in no particular order) 1. Octane, Don Toliver 🏎️ The first rap album to go platinum this year, Don continues to be exceptional with his world-building production. It’s a rollercoaster of sounds that’s a great experience for all listeners. 2. ICEMAN, Drake ❄️ I just discussed my thoughts on the Drake trilogy, so I won’t get too much into it. But I will be listening to it as the summer carries on. 3. KEHLANI, Kehlani ☀️ Reminiscent of the old 2000s sounds, Kehlani didn’t disappoint. It’s rich and tasteful, the kind of R&B made for the “grown and sexy,” and the project presents itself to the target audience very well. 4. The Fall Off, J. Cole 📚 Will this really be J. Cole’s final project? Maybe. But one thing is for sure, Cole completed his mission of releasing a solid project, with some of my faborite all-time songs on there as well. ...
