Ricardo Hernandez Navarrete has been in custody since March — putting his prom, graduation and future as a college soccer player in jeopardy. The 18-year-old Chicago Public Schools senior was arrested by ICE agents during what his family says was a routine check-in tied to their asylum case. He and his mother were sent to a detention center in Kentucky, where they have since been separated. But on Tuesday, his mother was ordered released on bond.
