Two weeks ago, I almost missed seeing blackstratblues perform their new album live at the G5A Warehouse in Mumbai. Huge shoutout to the management team for making sure I made it into the venue—because man, I’m still processing that sound. 🤯 The live tone and production in that space were completely unreal. The band’s bassist, Adi Mistry, was an absolute wall, gluing the entire sonic cage together where both the band’s drummer, Jai Row Kavi, and Warren’s guitar were playing. Hands down one of the tightest live acts I’ve ever witnessed. Honestly, I had a hard time deciding who sounds better live between them and Linkin Park. Some of those pieces felt straight-up therapeutic. I was so inspired by their playing that I had to lay down a cover for “Renaissance Mission”.
