Welcome to Part 1 of our father-son truck build, where I’m giving my son’s mini truck the same upgrades as my truck. 
For our first upgrade, I wanted to add power running boards and durable floor mats to both of our trucks. For my truck, I went with the VoltStepElectric Running Boards and Husky Liners WeatherBeaters from realtruck . The running boards were super DIY-friendly to install and had the durable fit and finish I was looking for to complete my truck. And the Husky WeatherBeaters were the perfect upgrade to help keep the inside of my truck clean.  For my son’s truck, I custom-built a slide bracket with an actuator to give it that same power running board look and function. And to match the floor mats, I added a silicone liner to help protect his truck floor and recreate that same rugged look. Seeing both of our trucks rocking the same matching upgrades is seriously so cool and love being able to share this experience with my family.
