For generations, America has profited from the labor, talent, creativity, intelligence, and culture of Black people. Our music, our art, our athletic ability, our inventions, our ideas, our engineering, our influence — every part of our existence has been used to build industries, institutions, and wealth that too often refuse to truly invest back into our communities.
We have entertained the world while being denied ownership.
We have built movements while others built fortunes from our work.
We have created culture while being excluded from power.
At some point, we have to ask ourselves:
Why do we keep pouring our gifts into systems that exploit us?
This is bigger than sports.
Bigger than music.
Bigger than entertainment.
This is about economic power, ownership, unity, and self-determination.
