Imagine driving on I-10 minding your business and suddenly a 15-pound piece of steel comes flying through your windshield 😳 That’s basically what happened near 16th Street in Phoenix after a chunk of metal reportedly flew off an unsecured load and smashed straight through a Toyota Tacoma windshield. According to ADOT, the driver was hit in the shoulder but somehow still managed to safely get off the freeway. Stuff like this is exactly why driving in Phoenix feels like a real-life Mario Kart lobby sometimes. One second traffic is normal… next thing you’re dodging ladders, couches, trash cans and apparently flying steel beams now too. The fact this didn’t end way worse is honestly insane. Anybody who drives the I-10 regularly knows seeing random debris on the freeway is basically an everyday thing at this point.
