Amanda Ramirez Commits to University of Redlands Valley Sports Network would like to congratulate Amanda Ramirez on her commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Redlands as a member of the Track & Field program. Amanda will officially sign on May 26 at 9:00 a.m. in the Southwest High School Gymnasium. When Amanda first connected with the University of Redlands coaching staff, she immediately felt welcomed by the coaches and team. She said the campus fit what she was looking for, and the family atmosphere made it feel like the right place to continue her journey. Looking back on her high school track career, Amanda credits the upperclassmen who pushed her during her freshman year for helping shape the athlete she became throughout her four years. She also expressed gratitude to her parents, friends, God, and especially Coach Alvis Harrington, who continually challenged her to improve and always believed in her.
