Upgrading to a new camera body usually means you can still rely on your trusty old gear, but that isn't entirely true here. While testing out the Canon C50 at the NFL Draft, I ran into a major roadblock when trying to use my EF 16-35mm lens with the Canon adapter. Here is what you need to know if you plan on adapting lenses to this new setup: The C50 requires the brand new LP-E6P batteries to power adapted EF lenses. If you pop in any older generation battery, your EF lenses will not function at all.
