In this video I am using sona masoori rice and the ratio for rice to water is still 1:1 like basmati rice. I am making toor dal and the ratio I used for dal to water is 1:3 and it works well for the consistency I was looking for cooked on high pressure. After the dal was cooked, I added a tadka on top and it was ready to be served with rice Cook both on high pressure for 10 minutes and let is self release. Let is naturally release instead of manually releasing it and this way it will make sure it is not undercooked.
