The Carolina Ascent are heading to the USL Super League Championship Game for the first time, after defeating Sporting Jax 1-0 in tonight’s semifinal match, with a 6th-minute goal by Mackenzie George and an impressive clean sheet from goalkeeper Sydney Martinez. The Ascent are on an incredible run, currently on a 12-game unbeaten streak heading into the championship game on Saturday, May 30 (7:00 p.m.), against top-seeded Lexington SC in Kentucky.
