I am sad, happy and proud all wrapped in one.
Today is the day aeyandle and I knew was coming when we dropped Addy off for her first of kindergarten in August 2013.
4,657 days later, she is graduating from high school.
While these nine year of
#DadLunchNotes did not begin until fourth grade, they were always there from the beginning. Our little chats from the house to the carline and her daily debriefs after school…or coming to my office at univmiami and georgiatech because she thought “daddy’s office was cool.”
There are no more notes to Addy.
Her last note was written on her last day of school earlier this month. Today is about her.
There is no message I could write her that she doesn’t already know.
Being her dad has made me a better person and I know her brother will make me better in other ways.
