Xavier University honored late graduate Oluwabukola Pereira during the Saturday commencement at Cintas Center. Pereira was shot and killed after attempting to stop a theft at her place of work in Lockland on May 8. “She was known for her positivity, deep faith, and generous spirit – hallmarks of a life lived in service to others. Friends describe her as kind, honest, intelligent, and beautiful – inside and out,” Xavier said in a statement last week.
