Today is National Rescue Dog Day, and I’m especially grateful for my beloved Gia. Adopted from the humane society in Englewood in 2009 at just 2 pounds, Gia is a beloved part of our family. Rescue pets bring so much love, joy, and companionship into our lives — and today is a great reminder to celebrate rescue pets .
