I was honored to meet with the group working to reconnect Colorado families with the memories of 80 Colorado soldiers buried at the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten. Since 1946, Dutch families have lovingly adopted the gravesites of thousands of American soldiers, visiting them, caring for their stories, and passing that responsibility from one generation to the next. This project is a powerful reminder that service and sacrifice are never forgotten, and we hope to help find more descendants here in Colorado so these families across the ocean can be connected.
