It was the dream job for me, being in the place I love – Goodison – surrounded by thousands of people I related to as if they were family and wanting to deliver them a quality service. That service being the distribution of the classic pie and pint combination before every game. I absolutely loved it. On top of enjoying the job itself and the people I served, it was the people of whom I worked with which made the job extra special – and seeing our work group chat dormant deep in my WhatsApp feed now is honestly quite upsetting. Recalling and remembering my regulars’ orders (there were many) game after game, without even knowing their names, was something I prided myself on. I miss all the joy, fun, and laughs I had from that job like no other....
