In the Middle of Winter Selected winter frames from my new book, Wandering America. Available now for preorder at the link in my bio. Winter has always felt like the season that changes a place the most. Familiar roads, mountains, towns, and forests become quieter, stranger, and a little harder to move through. But that’s what I love about it. The lack of light, the storms, the whiteouts, the cold mornings, the warm windows after a day outside. Everything feels stripped down to shape, texture, and atmosphere. These photographs were made across years of wandering through snow covered landscapes, ski towns, quiet roads, and mountain light. Moments where winter felt harsh, beautiful, and still all at once. Shot on various film cameras with Portra 400 & Cinestill 800T. #steamboat #kodakfilm #onfilm #analogfilm #shootfilm
