“I Think She’s Dead” 2026 Short Film SYNOPSIS: Rick and Jeanette have been unhoused for longer than either can remember. Finding each other along the way, they have developed a dysfunctional, sibling-like companionship with one another where they love each other as much as they hate each other - but accept that life is better with than without. On their way to make a quick dollar with their recyclables they’ve collected, they find themselves in an unexpected encounter with a dead jogger along their path. Casually, they help themselves to her belongings that lead them to her nearby home. It’s here we get to see the two of them in an environment where rigidity isn’t a necessity. Where the fortification of their defensive walls can be let down in a safe place and they get to just be themselves.
