Most men default to tee shirts for most of the year, but for peak summer? I've been avoiding them.
Tee shirts vary wildly in weight and fit and fabric. But all told, they're still densely knit cotton jersey (or some blend). They can still cling to your body if they get sweaty. And you still can't unbutton them to invite in a little extra air.
We all know, by now, that having a relaxed fit garment helps. But to me, no tee shirt, not even my fancy linen and hemp blends, performs like a woven.
Lightweight linen, ramie, or hemp. Cotton seersucker or good, light cotton poplin. And certain rayon fabrics, including this tencel shirt. Especially when you size up, and especially when you open a button or two.
They sit away from the body better, rather than clinging to it. And when that breeze hits, oh boy.
I'm really not even worried about sleeve length. Yeah, I have some short sleeves, it doesn't hurt. But I have heavy short sleeve linen shirts and lightweight long sleeves... Believe me, ...
