The cosy living room in our Belsize Park house. Every home has its own unique hierarchy based on what works for who lives there. In this home what was needed was a light filled kitchen, living and dining space on the ground floor. And a cosy welcoming space on the basement level for watching movies, entertaining friends and relaxing. We added a fireplace to anchor the room using bio ethanol so that a flue wouldn’t be needed. We designed the bespoke profile to work with style of the room. We extended into an area that was previously taken up with large concrete planters giving more usable internal space but leaving space for a light filled terrace outside- space for a sun lounger , a private place to do yoga or somewhere to have a coffee.
