Not everyone can have a backyard swimming pool. The cost, the space, the maintenance, the months of rain, the fear of raccoon drownings all make a private pool outside of the realm of possibility for most Portlanders. But you don’t need to have a pool to pretend like you do for an hour at a time this summer. All you need is a hundred bucks or so and access to the internet. It’s probably easiest to describe Swimply as “the AirBnB of swimming pools.” Swimply is an app and a website that allows you to find pools (and hot tubs and home gyms and tennis courts) in your area and rent them by the hour.
