At least 90 people have been killed in a gas explosion at a coal mine in China’s northern Shanxi province. It marks the country’s deadliest mining accident since at least 2009. The explosion occurred at the Liushenyu coal mine in Qinyuan County, where 247 workers were underground at the time, state media reported.
