The Sixers lose to the Knicks 108-102 in Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs 2nd Round. Joel Embiid did not play with hip and ankle injuries but the Sixers put forth a valiant effort. This was a tight game throughout until the 4th quarter when the Sixers shot 4 for 19 from the field and went ice cold, unable to score for five and a half minutes straight. Tyrese Maxey had an amazing 21 point first half but ultimately got fatigued after having to play 47 minutes tonight. Paul George had 11 points out of the gate but only finished with 17. VJ Edgecombe missed a couple wide open threes in the 4th quarter. Jalen Brunson hit a couple key shots late, but Nick Nurse finally brought in Dominick Barlow as a backup center and he actually did pretty well defensively against Brunson. It really feels like the Sixers let one slip away, but there were some positives tonight. And if Joel Embiid returns, this can definitely still be a series as it heads back to Philadelphia.
