China on Tuesday reiterated its opposition to “exclusive cliques” and bloc confrontation after foreign ministers from the Quad group met in India.⁣ ⁣ Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said cooperation between countries should support regional peace and stability and “should not target any third party.”⁣ ⁣ The comments came after diplomats from Australia, India, Japan and the United States — known as the Quad — agreed on joint projects including a port in Fiji and cooperation on critical minerals and energy security.
