At least 82 people have been killed and the search for two continues in China’s Shanxi province after a coal mine explosion.
The gas blast at the Liushenyu Coal Mine happened on Friday evening with emergency crews flocking to the site and hundreds of workers taken to hospital.
President Xi Jinping on Saturday called for authorities to "spare no effort" in treating the injured and conducting search and rescue operations. He also ordered an investigation into the incident.
There were 247 workers on duty underground at the time of the explosion. Two people remained unaccounted for, the local official said, while 128 were injured and hospitalized and 35 were uninjured.
