At least 82 people have been killed and the search for two continues in China’s Shanxi province after a coal mine explosion. ⁣ ⁣ The gas blast at the Liushenyu Coal Mine happened on Friday evening with emergency crews flocking to the site and hundreds of workers taken to hospital. ⁣ ⁣ President Xi Jinping on Saturday called for authorities to "spare ​no effort" ⁠in treating the injured and conducting search and rescue operations. He also ordered an investigation into the incident. ⁣ ⁣ There were 247 workers on duty underground at the time of the explosion.
