Many activists from the Gaza Sumud Flotilla arrested by Israeli forces after being intercepted in international waters have returned home describing beatings, torture, electrocutions and rape.⁣ ⁣ Israel’s prison service has denied the mistreatment.⁣ ⁣ One Portuguese activist said: “It was horrible, there was a lot of unnecessary violence. We were detained in a boat for several days. Two people were shot at, one in the leg, the other in the spleen.
