The Sydney Opera House and other iconic landmarks were immersed in an array of vibrant colors on Friday as part of the opening night of the annual Vivid festival.⁣ ⁣ French multimedia artist Yann Nguema created the artwork for the Sydney Opera House sails called "Opera Mundi", drawing inspiration from the natural world with fish, jellyfish and birds moving across the iconic sails. ⁣ ⁣ At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Samoan-Australian artist Angela Tiatia created the artwork "Vaiola" which included water, fire and flower motifs on the facade of the building.⁣ ⁣ A short walk away, geometric patterns were showcased at Customs House by Spanish artist Javier Riera in an artwork called "The Fringe of Infinity". ⁣ The festival is held over 23 days and ends on June 13.⁣ ⁣ #news #art #Australia #Sydney #festival #Vivid
