Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir sparked outrage after posting a video showing detained Gaza flotilla activists kneeling on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs.
The footage, filmed at Ashdod port after Israeli forces intercepted the aid flotilla in international waters, showed Ben-Gvir walking past rows of detainees while calling them 'terror supporters'.
The images drew condemnation from foreign leaders and criticism from inside Israel itself.
Canada's foreign minister called the treatment 'deeply troubling and absolutely unacceptable', while Spain's foreign minister described it as 'monstrous' and 'inhumane'.
Some Israelis interviewed in Tel Aviv also condemned Ben-Gvir's behaviour, with one calling it 'disgusting' and another apologising for what they described as 'Israeli brutality'.
