The California Department of Justice is now investigating the deputy-involved shooting that happened in Tulare Wednesday morning. Deputies responded to a welfare check around 9:30 a.m. on the 400 block of West Matheny Avenue. When they arrived, deputies were confronted by a man in the back of the home when the deputy-involved shooting occurred. According to Attorney General Rob Bonta, the shooting resulted in the death of one person.
