Meet Tanya Harlow, the Wildfire County Coordinator for El Dorado County. Since 2021, Wildfire County Coordinators, powered by a partnership between cafiresafe and CAL FIRE, have been increasing community wildfire resilience by planning and advancing prevention, preparedness, mitigation, and recovery projects. For Tanya, collaboration through the Wildfire County Coordinator program has been key to supporting wildfire preparedness in her community. She’s built a close working relationship with the wildfire resiliency division within her local CAL FIRE unit, working directly with the Assistant Chief to ensure alignment between state-level priorities and what’s happening on the ground in El Dorado County.
