The Sabres have signed coach Lindy Ruff to a two-year contract extension, the team said Wednesday. Ruff, in his return to Buffalo, led the Sabres to 50 wins and an Atlantic Division title as the franchise snapped the NHL's longest postseason drought and came within one win of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 66-year-old coach is in his second stint as bench boss in Buffalo. His 657 regular season and 64 playoff wins are both by far the most in team history.
