May 15, 2026, Portland, Oregon, USA: Portland is home to several wishing trees where people are encouraged to hand write wishes, dreams and hopes to affix to the trunk or hang in the branches. Each of these trees contains thousands of these wishes. How many or what percentage of the requests are granted is not known.(Credit Image: © Brian Cahn/ZUMA Press Wire) #zumapress #photojournalism #oregon #wishingtree
