We’ve come too far to go back now. I’m not here to be the smallest version of myself. I’m here to be the strongest, most capable, most energized version of me. I know too much about women’s health and longevity to fall for the outdated “skinny is best” narrative. Women already lose between 3-8% of their muscle mass each decade - WHY are we falling back into this skinny trap? My hunch? Give it a few years, it’s NOT going to age well. Bone density is important. Muscle mass is imperative. Understanding how your body works is critical. Cravings are NECESSARY. As someone who is currently on their own fitness journey after having a second baby, I find this imagery in our media is particularly triggering. I refuse to let this weirdo cultural phenomenon pull me in, and you should too. Sisters, build a body you can depend on. inspired by @movelikeamotha #fitmoms #fitnessinstructor #postpartum #strongoverskinny #glp1
