Saying goodbye (for now) to Cape Town, and wow this city has changed me in ways I’m only beginning to understand. This is the longest I’ve stayed put in one place in years, and not once did I feel restless. For a girl like me, that is saying a lot. 😄 I realized this season of life in South Africa filled a need that I hadn’t fully acknowledged before… but had probably been feeling beneath the surface for a while — the craving for more feelings of “home” and to put down roots; for beautiful nature, vast landscapes, and the African bush; for fresh new energy that feels expansive and inspiring and aligned with what I envision for my future. I’m leaving with a very full cup, and a very grateful heart.
