As women’s careers get longer, their peak playing and reproductive years increasingly overlap. Now, the PFA has launched what it says is the first fertility partnership of its kind in UK sport, giving players across the WSL, Premier League and EFL access to fertility education, assessments, egg freezing, IVF and family-planning support. The move comes as conversations around pregnancy, postpartum care and fertility become more prominent in women’s football, with players and researchers pushing for better education, support and infrastructure across the sport.
