SpaceX is set to launch the first-ever Starship Version 3 on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from Starbase, Texas. The flight uses Booster 19 and Ship 39, both powered by upgraded Raptor 3 engines with new grid fins and higher power output. The suborbital mission will deploy 20 dummy Starlink satellites plus two modified satellites that will capture imagery of Starship's heat shield during reentry. The Super Heavy booster will splash down in the Gulf of Mexico, while Ship splashes down in the Indian Ocean off Western Australia.
