The Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG) is thrilled to announce “Tough Stuff: Women in the American Glass Studio,” the first survey exhibition dedicated to the women artists whose groundbreaking work pushed material boundaries and introduced bold techniques in the 1960s and 70s, paving the way for future generations. The exhibition features 200 works made from this period to the present day, offering a more complete story of the accomplishments of female artists. Their bold exploration of the material illuminates the broader social, cultural, artistic, and gender politics of the time. The corningmuseum will carry the legacy of these women forward in their permanent collection and archives, fostering a more inclusive understanding of the American Studio Glass Movement and inviting visitors to see glass in a new light. Organized by curator Tami Landis, the exhibition opens to the public and runs through January 10, 2027. To learn more, visit the link in bio. . . . 1 - Archival image o...
