Once used as a symbol of discrimination has become a statement of resilience, and visibility. For decades, Indigenous Bolivian women known as “Cholitas” faced exclusion from public spaces, and discrimination. Today, a new generation is reclaiming the identity with skateboarding, a sport historically dominated by men. This series by the photographer Celia D.
