Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (#GAAD), a moment to reflect on the importance of building a world that is accessible to everyone. At Be My Eyes, we work every day to support over 340 million people who are blind or have low vision, helping to make everyday tasks more accessible through human connection and technology. In 2025, we’ve reached over 100 million user interactions, and this year we celebrated 1 million users and 10 million volunteers joining the community. Each interaction represents a real moment of support, someone getting assistance reading something important, navigating a situation, or simply gaining a bit more independence in their day. There is still a long way to go. Accessibility is not finished work, and progress depends on continued collaboration between users, volunteers, partners, and everyone committed to inclusion.
