Under Section 504 and IDEA, your child with a disability has the legal right to participate in school sponsored activities like field trips alongside their peers. And if your child needs support to do that safely, the SCHOOL is responsible for providing it. That means if your child needs a paraprofessional, a nurse, or any other support to attend a field trip, the school needs to figure that out. Not you.
