McDonald’s new specialty drinks are here and today, we’re at the McDonald’s test kitchen to try them out. Starting with the caffeinated refreshers, all three feel distinct and are customizable with lemonade as the default base, or water if you prefer. The Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher is visually stunning thanks to the freeze-dried dragon fruit, with a nice tang and deep berry flavor, but expect texture throughout. The Strawberry Watermelon Refresher is a classic combo with freeze-dried strawberries, bright and straightforward. The Mango Pineapple Refresher leans much more mango, with strawberry popping boba that really stands out, one I kept coming back to. The lemonade itself is also worth noting, more tart than sweet and crafted specifically for these drinks. Moving on to the crafted sodas, all feature a new marshmallow-style cold foam.
